What’s Going on with HI Impact
Creating this card game is quite the labor of love, as each image and design for every card demands attention and creativity. The drawings and layouts take time to ensure they not only capture the essence of the game but also bring a playful spirit to history. Balancing the artistic process with the game mechanics means that every detail is crafted with care, making the timeline a bit longer than anticipated. However, the journey of transforming ideas into visuals is what makes the final product feel truly special and rewarding for me.
Here’s the big kicker though….
I printed an alpha edition of the game and gathered my friends and family for trial runs. As we shuffled through the cards and dove into the gameplay we did have some fun. However, as the rounds progressed, it quickly became clear that we were encountering the same scenarios, leading to a few yawns and some eye rolls. After some deliberation, I decided that to increase replayability (is that a word?) and keep the fun going, the game would need an additional 24-36 cards. This extra content would allow for a wider variety of experiences, ensuring that each game night would be as fresh and engaging.
So, there you have it. That is why I’m behind. But I am still working diligently.
