I would like to write a weekly HowTo or tutorial on how to draw. But, since I'm don't typically draw things that people would like to learn to draw what I instead plan to do is find some good tutorials around the internet that help me at times.
I recently drew the above picture of Minute Maid Park in Houston. In it is just a small amount of grass, but grass is something I don't do too terribly much. So, I had to look around a bit and see just what it is that I had to do to give the proper look.
I didn't use it step by step or anything, but it gave me some great ideas on what I wanted to do for my drawing. But, if you're a novice with pencil this tutorial will guide you all the way through. Even if you're pretty good at drawing, you could always use a couple of pointers, especially at things you're not great at.
Anyway, the tutorial is great check it out.
If you know of any tutorials that you feel should be shared with everyone make sure to contact me so I can help get the word out.
Comments will be approved before showing up.
I will send you updates on upcoming art shows. Also, I will occasionally tell you about new art I'm making and give you a chance to collect my art before I post them on my site for sale.
