Sometimes I sit around and drown. The thing most intriguing about it is that I survive long enough to realize that I actually realize that I’m drowning. The pressure of the air within me seems so great, but it isn’t enough to keep the water out. I try so hard to convince myself that as long as I have this precious air inside me there is nothing that can go wrong. All of a sudden my body reacts violently and tells me that holding that poison in is worse than exhaling and letting water rush in. Which is worse, passing out from not enough oxygen, or inhaling water?
